Confor Form (formerly called Temperfoam) is the conforming foam cushion that was developed for the “Astronaut’s Couch” back in the Apollo space program. Confor Foam has the capability of absorbing a tremendous amount of impact shock compared to common polyfoam and it is flame resistant. It is an excellent product that will give your seats enduring comfort that you never thought possible. Adapts to you for pressure point-free comfort that is really incredible. The best universal cushion for aircraft use is a 3” CF42/CF45/CF47 laminate. Confor Foam meets FAR 25.853, FAR 25.855, and CAL 117 burn specifications making it excellent for certified aircraft or homebuilts. This neoprene coated pyroglass cloth is designed for applications where its superb heat and flame resistance provides an extra margin of protection for people and equipment. Self-extinguishing, it is used as aircraft firewall barriers, protective sleeves and tadpole tape covers, flat seals, gaskets, mounts and door seals. It is ozone and weather resistant and can be used against caustics, gasoline, oil, water and steam. It does not support combustion and will operate in continuous temperatures from -40F to +200F.

The seal encapsulates the bearing and flexes accordingly with any change in angularity. This cabin box is our first modification to our standard heat box. The only difference between this and the standard is that the deluxe cabin heat box has one inlet and two outlets; the second outlet must be used to dump and route, via 2" scat tube, the warm air away from the low plenum area when heat is not being used in the cabin. (It is very important not to run the dump tube to another box on the other side of the firewall, because a constant flow of air is necessary to ensure that the heat muff does not overheat.) The weight on this unit is 5.5 ounces.
